Tools for Digital Artists

My involvement in the realm of digital art is around 7 years or so, and during the majority of that time, I was using and learning my way around the Adobe Suite, more or less.
I would expect for most when the term "digital painting" comes to mind, you correlate it with Photoshop, but the reason I said more or less is because there's actually some other magnificent painting tools that can be used for the digital artist.

To name just a few, there's Corel Painter, Paint Tool Sai, and Mischief. Simply because it's not Photoshop does not mean you are limited whatsoever, and these other tools are fantastic for anyone on a tight budget with really no need for much photo editing.
Each one of these programs are very unique and provide interesting tools and mechanics for you to achieve an extremely wide variety of effects.

I took a screencap of just simple sketches I was doing to kill some time in Mischief last night; this program being notable for it's use of Adaptively Sampled Distance Fields.
In short, this means an infinite zoom, and there is also no need for worry about canvas size or any limitations on memory; if you make something you wish to keep, you can simply zoom in towards it and make all the file size specifications at the end.

Let's say you wanted to save something from the page that you were working on:
